Chapter 1483: Spiritual Beasts

Chapter 1483: Spiritual Beasts

Along with his experiences outside the Heaven Observation Field, Shang Xia understood the importance of having a Stargazer.

He needed to protect Xin Lu and Yan Ming at all costs.

When the Twin Star Pirates were surrounded by the other Star Pirate groups, Xin Lu used up almost all her life-saving treasures.

When they were making their way over to the Azure Savage World, Shang Xia gave her 2 more Heaven Liberation Talismans.

Of course, the Twin Star Pirates provided all the materials required to make the talismans.

It wasn’t too difficult for him to craft Heaven Liberation Talismans. It could be considered a talisman he created that was between the fifth and sixth rank.

The quality was determined by the amount of Six Direction Qi infused in the talisman and the moment it was activated, Shang Xia noticed it.

One had to know that Ying Lianxi just received a transmission that the ships were under attack, but the spiritual beasts that attacked them couldn’t break through the defenses so quickly.

However, the activation of the Heaven Liberation Talisman could only mean one thing. Xin Lu was in danger!

Shang Xia glanced at the Ying Brothers who were suppressing the final few Star Beasts and since he saw that they held the advantage, he separated even more of his inner qi for Xin Lu. He could observe the situation that was happening since he sent a portion of his energy over, and he could tell that Xin Lu’s aura had already surpassed the first tier of the Martial Intent Realm. It was comparable to a second tier True Immortal at the moment.

That was what was special about the Heaven Liberation Talisman. Even if she only used the energy it contained, she would possess the strength of a peak first tier True Immortal. If Shang Xia was a little closer and could provide some energy, she would be able to burst forth with the strength of a second tier True Immortal.

Of course, if Shang Xia actively transferred his power over with a strand of his divine soul, as long as she could withstand it, she would gain the strength of a third tier True Immortal!

With the provision of his divine soul, Shang Xia soon discovered the reason she activated the talisman.

After the 2 spiritual beasts discovered they couldn’t break the defenses of the ship, they changed their plans and decided to push the ships to the heavenly screen.

The protection barrier was enough to withstand the attacks of the beasts, but they could only take a passive beating. They were slowly pushed around the void by the beasts without being able to do much.

Seeing as no other experts emerged from the ship to stop them, another 2 rank six spiritual beasts emerged from the heavenly screen. 1 of them launched a ferocious offensive and was comparable to a third tier True Immortal.

Originally, the goal of the beasts was to ground the ships. Seeing as no other experts emerged to stop them, they changed their plan and wanted to take everyone alive.

Shang Xia acted decisively. He transferred even more energy to Xin Lu and she immediately burst forth with the strength of a third tier True Immortal.

He also reminded her about the pressure she would have to endure when wielding so much power. She wasn’t a fool. She chose her target well and flew at the rank six spiritual beast comparable to a first tier True Immortal who was part of the first 2 to start the attack.

As soon as she activated the talisman, her aura leaped to become a powerful True Immortal. The first tier True Immortal-level beast raised its vigilance.

With Shang Xia’s soul descending, she gained the strength of a third tier True Immortal and the beast was caught off guard. The next thing it saw was Xin Lu rushing at it.

How could a first tier True Immortal-level beast understand how a Martial Dipper Realm expert could become a powerful True Immortal? Not to mention she wielded the strength of a third tier True Immortal. Even though the approaching enemy was terrifying, its instincts told it to not run. The moment it turned around, it would be fully exposed.

Releasing a strange cry, it called for reinforcements before rushing at Xin Lu.

Xin Lu’s cultivation was at the second element of the Martial Dipper Realm, but because she had experiences using the Heaven Liberation Talisman, she felt a strange sense of calm.

She unleashed her strongest rank five martial art, the Falling Star Hammer the moment she approached. With Shang Xia’s Six Direction Qi, the rank five martial art was strengthened to a terrifying degree.

The rank six beast flapped its wings which seemed to be made up of scales. It emitted a faint golden glow even under the starlight that fell.

Seeing the powerful ray of starlight that was falling, the beast wrapped its wings around itself to form a double-layer scale shield.

Too bad for it, with the arrival of Xin Lu’s Falling Star Hammer, its golden wings were blown apart. Even the soundwave from the impact was eliminated by the twisted void.

The shockwave that followed slammed against the ships, pushing it thousands of miles into the distance before slowing down.

No one knew how many bones were shattered from the blow, but after taking Xin Lu’s Falling Star Hammer, its abdomen was blown to mush and the fragments of its wings stuck deep.

Thankfully, it was massive and possessed a strong life force. The strike didn’t kill it and it merely lost all ability to fight for the time being.

As for the other second tier True Immortal-level beast that launched an attack with it, it gave up trying to attack the other ship and quickly rushed over to save its fellow beast. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

Xin Lu seemed to have exhausted all the inner qi Shang Xia provided and even though she could maintain the aura of a first tier True Immortal, she didn’t dare to dally. She ran back to the large-scale Star Ship.

Behind her, 3 rank six beasts gathered and gave chase.

It was then that a strange cry came from above the heavenly screen of the Azure Savage World. The beasts that were about to crash into the Star Ship stopped abruptly.

The third tier True Immortal-level beast seemed reluctant to give up so easily and it released an enraged cry at the heavenly screen, trying to figure out what the matter was.

All it received was another roar in return. Releasing all its pent up frustration by screaming in the Star Ship’s direction, the third tier True Immortal-level beast turned and flew back to its world. It didn’t forget to bring the heavily injured beast with it.

As the 4 of them returned to the world, Shang Xia’s figure appeared close to the Star Ships.

Looking at the beasts that fled, Shang Xia sighed to himself.

However, he became a lot more interested in the beast that issued the warning. It managed to detect his presence and called the rest back, preventing him from launching a sneak attack to cause more damage.

What he didn’t know was how the strange beast discovered his presence. Even though they were close to the heavenly screen, Shang Xia was a sixth tier True Immortal and he only discovered what was happening through the use of the Heaven Liberation Talisman and his soul’s descent.
